Bill Whitcher is an award winning photographer living in Washington, DC who’s career has involved color managing some of the most recognizable magazines on the newsstand. These titles include the popular Coastal Living & Southern Living Magazine. He honed his retouching and color management skills in the 2000’s working with the Internationally successful Victoria’s Secret catalogue. Whitcher’s career started in graphic design and quickly moved into high end photo retouching, color management and now print quality assurance. He now spends his professional time color managing the innovative and well read Smithsonian Magazine (subscription 1.8 million). Having expertise in photo retouching and post processing, inspired a curiosity that led to the purchase of his first camera. Today Bill Whitcher Photography focuses on the fine art of every day imagery around DC and the metropolitan region. Whitcher won both the coveted Photographer of the Year & Photo of the Year for the B-CCC in 2017. Bill is pictured here with his First Place Award winning photo titled Frank from Boston on display at the Smithsonian. (2018)
